Draft, pending legal review. This document has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. It is published so the site is complete and testable; the final wording may differ.
The short version
We collect what we need to send a verified professional to your door and take payment for it: your number, your address, what you booked, and what you paid. We share your address and first name with the professional assigned to your job, and nothing more. We do not sell your data to anyone.
What we collect
- Your mobile number, which is how you sign in. Your name and email if you give them.
- Your addresses, including floor, lift and parking notes — these go to the professional so they can reach your door.
- Your bookings: what you ordered, when, what it cost, and how it went.
- Payment records. Card and UPI details are handled by our payment gateway and never reach our servers.
- Approximate location, if you allow it, to suggest your area rather than make you type a PIN code.
- Photographs a professional takes of the work, before and after, which form part of your job record.
- Device and usage information — which pages you opened, which app version you are on — used to fix faults and improve the product.
Why we collect it
- To perform the booking you asked for. This is the bulk of it.
- To take payment, issue your invoice and process refunds.
- To keep you and the professional safe — identity verification, and a record of who went where.
- To answer you when you contact support.
- To meet legal and tax obligations.
- To send you service messages about your bookings. Marketing messages are separate, and you choose whether to receive them.
Who we share it with
The professional assigned to your booking sees your first name, your address, your contact number and what you booked. They do not see your payment details, your other bookings or your other addresses.
We also use processors who handle data on our behalf and only on our instructions: our payment gateway, our SMS provider, our mapping provider, our cloud storage and our hosting. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
How long we keep it
Booking, invoice and payment records are kept for eight years, which is what Indian tax and accounting rules require. Identity verification records for professionals are kept while they work with us and for three years afterwards. Everything else is deleted or anonymised within [retention period — to be confirmed] of your account being closed.
Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 you may ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to erase it, or withdraw a consent you previously gave. Write to hello@noorahomeservices.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Erasure has one limit worth stating plainly: we cannot delete invoice and payment records we are legally required to keep. Everything else goes.
How we protect it
- Traffic between you and us is encrypted in transit.
- Identity documents and job photographs are stored privately and served only through short-lived links, after a permission check.
- Our staff see customer data only where their role requires it, and access is logged.
- Your sign-in session can be revoked from your account page, on any device.
Children
Our services are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe we have, tell us and we will delete it.
Contact
Data protection queries and grievances go to [grievance officer — to be confirmed] at hello@noorahomeservices.com. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
